| Bulbs. The white snowdrops are usually borne singly, mostly in early
spring , which makes them the earliest flowering bulb.
Two or three straplike leaves, dark green in color, grow from each bulb. The three
inner petals have green tips and overlap the outer petals to form a tube.
The bulbs should be planted 3-4 inches deep in early autumn
in fertile soil.

Onions have upright, cylindrical, green leaves attached to the
swollen leaf bases that form the bulb below ground.Onion plants grow to be about two
feet high.
Green onions are either onions that are harvested when they are young
or a special type of onion called bunching onion that has small bulbs. Green onions are
long and narrow with white bottoms and light to dark green tops.
