THE ANTHROPOID APES
Someone once said that anthropoid apes are somewhere between monkies and
human beings. What do you think was meant by that?

Chimpanzees are the most lively of the anthropoid apes. They are able to
clearly express happiness, sadness, fear and satisfaction. But when
chimpanzees cry, there arent tears in their eyes. They use sounds and
facial expressions to communicate

They are also very skilful. Apparently they are even able to unlock
doors using a key.

Orangutans live almost their whole lives in trees. They are very good
climbers. For that reason they have very long arms compared to the rest
of their bodies. And their fur is thicker.

Like other anthropoid apes, orangutans make themselves a nest for the
night where they can sleep peacefully. When it rains heavily, they cover
themselves with leaves. Leaves are like blankets for orangutans.
