Larry said that people keep pigs as pets, just like cats and dogs. Scott P. Owens writes the following about his guinea pig:

Kramer

3-8-5-2.jpg (32906 bytes)   Kramer is a cute long-haired guinea pig.
He has a very lively personality, especially when he is out of his cage. Then he follows you everywhere and begs for treats. His favourites are carrots, celery, lettuce and all fruits and vegetables.
Kramer also loves people. At 6:30 in the morning he stands at the door of his cage and squeals “Good morning”. He does that as only he can do. Cute!
He also squeals when he is happy, excited or when he wants attention.

People are always saying that pigs are dirty animals. “You look like a pig,” they say, when somebody is filthy. Animal experts, however, say that pigs are very clean animals. When a pig has a small sty, he does his “business” in one corner and keeps his sleeping space clean and dry.

"It doesn't matter that he is dark brown afterwards, and looks unappealing to us human beings," Larry explained. "A pig doesn't care what people think. What's important to him is that he has cleaned himself up, because mud is the best remedy against bugs and insects and parasites."
